My journey with art began as a curious 7-year-old, puzzled by the Mona Lisa’s enigmatic smile and later bewildered by Malevich’s Black Square. That childhood curiosity blossomed into a lifelong passion that led me to create this platform.
Today, I see that same curiosity in people discovering art for the first time—but I also see something troubling. In our age of fast-paced social media and short-form video platforms, the deep knowledge and rich stories behind great artworks are fading into obscurity. People are increasingly interested in art, yet they’re getting less of the substantial, thoughtful content they deserve.
That’s why I created Art Explained Simply: to share my knowledge about art pieces in depth, preserving and making accessible the cultural treasures that risk being lost to fleeting content and superficial takes. Over the years I was able to grow the audience of my YouTube channel to 5000 subscribers!
